Oregon Teacher Reciprocity Agreements
If you have completed an accredited teacher preparation program or are a current teacher from another state, the state of Oregon will accept your current credentials and issue you a Transitional Teaching Certification. During the valid period of this certification, you will need to complete any deficiencies you may have in order to successfully qualify for the Initial I Teaching Certification. For more information about the process of applying for certification as an out-of-state teacher, explore the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission website, or call (503) 378 – 3586.
