Criminal History Background Check
All applicants for Interim Substitute Licenses must submit to a criminal history background check, including fingerprinting. The ESPB will provide you with information on how to pursue fingerprinting, along with a fingerprint card.
You’ll take the card to your local police department, sheriff’s office, or campus police station. You must pay all associated fees. You must mail the fingerprint cards and authorization forms to the ESPB with your application and supporting documents. Your Interim Substitute License will not be issued until your background check is cleared.
