Florida Teacher Reciprocity Agreements
The state of Florida offers professional educators from other states to earn their professional educator certification in Florida through reciprocity. There are two routes to certification: 1.) You must hold a current teaching certification issued by another state, OR 2.) You must hold a current National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certification. For more information about the process of certification through reciprocity, explore the Florida Department of Education website, or contact the Florida Department of Education at (800) 445-6739.
