Colorado Teacher Reciprocity Agreements
Teacher certification applicants from other states have the opportunity to become teachers in Colorado if they have either taught as professionally certified teachers in their state or have completed a qualifying teacher education program in their state.
Colorado accepts applicants from member states of the NASDTEC Interstate Reciprocity Agreement who have signed a reciprocity agreement with Colorado. The following are the current (2012) states who have signed the reciprocity agreement with Colorado. For more information on the process of certification through reciprocity agreements, contact the Colorado Department of Education Office of Educator Licensing at (303) 866-6628.
